AZ WHOLE HEART CONNECTION

Professional mental health counseling specializing in PTSD, Complex-PTSD and Relational Trauma

TRAUMA THERAPY – For individuals

This integrative, trauma-informed approach combines highly effective trauma interventions to address the emotional, relational, and nervous system impacts of PTSD, Complex-PTSD and developmental trauma. Treatment emphasizes a safe, attuned therapeutic relationship while also attending to how trauma is held in the body and nervous system. Clients are supported in gently processing deeply rooted emotional pain, resolving survival-based responses such as hypervigilance, shutdown, or dissociation, and developing greater capacity for regulation and self-compassion. Together, these approaches help transform longstanding patterns shaped by trauma and foster a more stable sense of safety, connection, and embodied resilience. Very often individual trauma therapy can be a critical first step to couples’ therapy as trauma therapy assists individuals in exploring and identifying unresolved wounds from the past that are making connection to another person difficult.  Once a person is able to develop awareness of how their past has been relentlessly interfering in their present, healthy relationships in the present become de-mystified and attainable.

RELATIONSHIP COACHING – For Couples/Relationships

RELATIONAL LIFE THERAPY (RLT)

Relational Life Therapy (RLT) is a direct, skills-based approach to couples therapy developed by Terry Real that focuses on helping individuals and couples move out of destructive relational patterns and into healthier, more connected ways of relating. RLT emphasizes accountability, mutual respect, and emotional honesty, addressing how power imbalances, trauma histories, and social conditioning contribute to conflict and disconnection. Through practical interventions and real-time coaching, RLT helps partners develop relational maturity, repair ruptures, and build relationships characterized by intimacy, fairness, and collaboration.

TRANSFORMATIVE COUPLES THERAPY (TCT)

Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT) is an experiential, attachment-based approach to couples therapy rooted in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) developed by Dr. David Mars. TCT focuses on helping partners access and express vulnerable emotions, transform reactive interactional patterns, and create new experiences of safety, responsiveness, and emotional connection within the relationship. Through moment-to-moment tracking, emotional processing, and repair, TCT supports couples in healing relational trauma, deepening intimacy, and building a secure, resilient bond.

EQUINE-ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY (E-AP)

Equine-assisted psychotherapy is a trauma-informed, experiential approach that incorporates interaction with horses to support emotional regulation, relational awareness, and nervous system healing. Because horses are highly attuned to nonverbal cues, they naturally reflect patterns of stress, boundaries, and connection, offering immediate, embodied feedback. This approach is particularly effective for trauma by promoting safety, grounding, and trust without relying solely on verbal processing, helping individuals develop greater self-awareness, regulation, and confidence in relationship.

GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and clinical fees.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your session. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
